Health, education services in Tibet

Over the past decade, Tibet has continuously improved its medical and health services to ensure the health and safety of the masses.

-Tibetan medicinal bath method has been included in UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

-The maximum reimbursement rate for hospitalization expenses for urban and rural residents in Tibet is 90%.

-Tibet has three state-level regional diagnosis and treatment centers of Tibetan medicine, one university of Tibetan medicine and 17 manufacturers of Tibetan medicine.

-There are more than 20,000 medical workers at all levels and of all types in Tibet.

Accordingly, over the past decade, Tibet has given priority to the development of education and made improving the quality of rural education a top priority.

– Build a relatively complete education system.

– Constantly improve the conditions of schools in farming and pastoral areas, and the most beautiful houses must be schools.

– The “3-year pre-school + 9-year compulsory school + 3-year high school” free education program was fully implemented.

– The “three guarantees” policy of “covering food, accommodation and tuition” is adopted.

– Living allowances for rural teachers was raised to 1,000 yuan per person per month.

– Build the “Mount Qomolangma Flag Cloud” platform for Tibet education – students in remote areas can also enjoy quality education resources in the city.
