Kathmandu, 9 October: Ghanashyam Bhushal, who quit the UML party after failing to get an election ticket, has decided to contest the election for federal parliament member from Rupandehi electoral constituency No 1 as an independent candidate.
The five-party alliance has assured its support for Bhushal.
Maoist Center supremo Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda has assured to support him.
Meanwhile, Prachanda left for Gorkha along with Dr Baburam Bhattarai to file his candidature from Gorkha No 2 electoral constituency by cancelling his candidature from Chitwan No 3 electoral constituency
