India must abandon its colonial legacy

Indian Prime Minister H.D Deve Gowda who leads thirteen piece coalitions apple-cart is to is to pay three day visit to Nepal with a huge high level delegation.

The Indian Foreign Minister I.K. Gujral on Monday March 1, however, would not disclose the agenda. But observers, anticipate it to be ranging from bilateral agreements in water resources to the formation of a secret joint security arrangement in guise of sub-regional bloc, an ambitions idea envisaged in the early Seventies by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who made no bones about Indian’s determination of the forming her “Own Bloc” presumably like NATO and Warsaw Pact.

In reminiscence it will be worthwhile to note, Vietnam ventured to from same sort of regional power bloc by invading Cambodia and Laos following Brezhnev Doctrine.
