Former King presents “Dui Mutu Yeuta Bato”

“A collection of short poems penned by former King Gyanendra, “Dui Mutu Yeuta Bato” (Two Hearts One Path) has been released coinciding with the King’s 76th auspicious birthday on 7 July 2022.

The collection consists of 75 short poems reflecting different aspects of life — humanitarian values and assumptions, life and feelings, love for the soil and patriotism. Also, poems related to the present situation and horizon of the country are included in the collection.

The former King is a noted poet popularly known as G. Shah. In the past also, his poems have been published. Different musicians and singers have also used G. Shah’s wordings in their songs, and many of them are very popular among the Nepalis.

His father King Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah, known as M.B.B. Shah, elder brother and King Birendra Shah and sister-in-law and Queen Aishwarya popularly known as Chadani Shah have remarkably contributed to the literary field. In this regard, G. Shah is not an exception in the Royal family contributing to this field.

Dr Phanindraraj Pathak, press secretary of the former King has stated, “The poems in the collection reflect patriotism, present circumstance of the country, love with nature, human sensitiveness, belief, respect, love, etc.”
