Four Nepalis killed in road mishap in India

Kathmandu, 3 September: Four Nepalis died and 14 others were injured in road accident at Barabanki of Uttar Pradesh in India this morning. The accident took place when a truck hit the bus bound to Goa from Rupaidiha. According to Indian Police, the truck hit the double-decker bus at a time when the bus was parked to change the tyre after it got punctured near Barbanki.

The deceased have been identified as Prem Tharu and Sheetal Tharu of Binauna village of Raptisonari Rural Municipality in Banke, and Chakra Bahadur Oli of Belatapur of Dang. However, identify of the remaining one has not been ascertained yet. Of the injured, condition of six including Amar Bahadur, 40, of Baijapur, Banke; Rita Kumari Tharu, 35, of Barbardiya; Krishna, 28, of Dang; Kali Bahadur, 40, of Rukum is critical. They have been sent to Lucknow-based Trauma Centre for treatment.
