BABBLES

Barshaman Pun, a new political tycoon, has blamed the voters for being corrupt and they don’t vote without receiving money from the candidates.
It is serious blame on the voters. Those innocent voters cast their vote just for the raksi and masu-bhat (rice with meat and locally produced alcohol). They receive many big assurances from candidates. Indeed the voters are always deceived by those thieves like candidates. Once, the candidate will be elected, he forgets those voters and his electoral constituency. The candidate will disappear to the capital city. He will be exploiting the government treasury continuously for five years.
Let us judge, who is a fraud!
George Soros’s men
We know, there is a heavy investment of the Open Society Foundation of George Soros in political leaders, intellectuals and media persons. Their mission is clear – conversion of religion, advocating the Western agendas and lauding for human rights. The mission is to destroy the Nepali society, culture, religion, language and civilization.
If some journalists advocates against such activities, the agents of the Open Society Foundation are irritated. When noted journalist Yubraj Ghimire tried to expose the 12-point Indo-West design, the agents of the foundation felt a serious headache. One agent said that after the 12-point agreement, the situation has moved forward far ahead, yet, Ghimire is running behind the very 12-point agreement!
There is a branch office of the Foundation in Kathmandu but Delhi denied opening its branch there.
Completing a 7-year circle
Dr Baburam Bhattarai, who left the Maoist party seven years ago to open a new shop “Naya Shakti” has decided to return to the Maoist Center, the mother organization.
He had quit the party saying that he has no more trust in those communist leaders. In the past seven years, after failure in running the Naya Shakti party, visited different political parties and finally returned to the Maoist Center. Whether he again became a communist or not, he has not said, but he has become ready to contest the election with the symbol hammer and sickle. It took seven years to complete the circle of his unsuccessful political journey.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
- Whenever there is a festival related to our Hindu religion, liquor/beer advertisements fill the pages of these newspapers. The money-grubbers mocking our religion just for money, introduce themselves as Hindus. Let’s boycott such newspapers. Can these money-grubbers print such advertisements on other’s religious festivals?

- President’s step to return the citizenship bill to parliament for a review is within her constitutional prerogative (Article 113).
While this can be called unprecedented given the 2015 constitution; to describe it as something ‘unusual’ is unconvincing.
What could be ‘usual’?

I am glad the President has returned the Citizenship Bill to the parliament with clarifications on issues which have long-term detrimental consequences on Nepal’s sovereignty, independence and integrity. Anyway, decisions with such implications and importance should not be rushed without elaborate discussions and especially when the elections have been already announced.
In a sense, the government is a lame duck and cannot make such decisions of national importance in a democracy.
Rajendra Shrestha
- I don’t know what is called republic or federalism or loktantra, but we have a system of loot-tantra introducing hundreds of kings by throwing away one king!
Republicanism, federalism and secularism were not the desire, needs and agenda of the Nepali people.
Omkumar Thapa
- My petition to your Majesty!
The communists have become the underwear of the neighbour.
Congress and Maoists became American brokers. On the other hand, those high-ranking officials in the security organs have become brokers of the MCC and SPP. The leaders and bureaucrats have already smashed this country. Therefore, now, it is time to return the authority handed over to the people. People are with you!

- They don’t set the price of the farmer’s products and import foreign food saying they are cheap.
On the other hand, millions of cubic meters of timber are rotting in the forests, but remittance money is being spent to import foreign wood. We are ruled by fraud rulers!

- The metropolis cannot collect garbage, the provincial government cannot renew vehicles easily, and the federal government cannot provide the national identity card instantly. After all, what can they do for the people without giving any hassle?
Madhukar Upadhya
- I am clear about citizenship. Political rights should not be given to those obtaining naturalized citizenship; citizenship by descent should be provided to those children who got birth from parents obtaining citizenship by birth; those who give/sell citizenship illegally should be imprisoned for life; citizenship is not a matter of politics.
Rajesh Ahiraj
- A new bill was passed through the fast track overnight after withdrawing the citizen’s bill which had become mature and was at the final stage of its ratification. Only 23 people passed the citizenship amendment bill from the House of Representatives having 275 members.

- Why is there no enthusiasm and interest in the people despite the announcement of elections? While in big corruption, there is unity, agreement and action in the leadership of all the parties. Moreover, in the case of Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma of the coalition government, it has been clearly shown how the corrupt government can suppress the truth and how it uses all the organs and bodies of the state to hide the crime. How can you vote for them? If not them, whom to vote for? It is today’s burning question.
Anar Singh Karki
- Why do communist leaders talk about caste? Why not they understand the fact that there are only two races and they are the rich and the poor!
Nimkant Pandey
- This constitution is a mule (offspring of a donkey and a horse) and the system is regressive. It needs to be abandoned immediately!
