FM Sharma forced to tender resignation

Kathmandu, 6 July: Following all side pressure for resigning from the ministerial post and also the formation of a probe committee in parliament, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has tendered his resignation from the post.

Sharma said that he has tendered his resignation to pave the way for free investigation of charges against him.

Sharma is alleged for changing the customs tariff by using an unauthorized person while preparing the budget for the new fiscal year and deleting the CC camera footage of the suspected dates.

Meanwhile, Barshaman Pun has claimed that Sharma will again become the FM if the probe committee fails to prove Sharma’s mistakes.

A probe committee has been constituted to investigate Sharma’s suspicious activities. Following the formation of the probe committee, Sharma tendered resignation.
