BABBLES

Nepal is exporting electricity to India, it is a big claim made by the Nepal Electricity Authority. In the meantime, different newspapers and Online portals have reported that above 65 percent of the industries are facing load-shedding in the country. These industries are compelled to use generators for operating the industry.
Understandably, Nepal is exporting electricity at the price offered by India, which is cheaper. On the other hand, local industries are compelled to use diesel for operating generators at an expensive price.
The finance minister is not keen to remove taxes on petroleum products. The NEA is not keen to supply electricity to the local industries. What could be the intention of those people in the government? Shouldn’t we understand that they want to shut down the remaining industries in the country!
Such things happen when leaders become business dealers!
The value of our currency!
What is the value of the Nepali currency, have we ever tried to know it? Nepali currency has tied up with the Indian currency, and the Indian currency is continuously being devalued with the US dollar. According to the devaluation of the Indian currency, Nepal’s exchange rate with the US dollar has also become expensive. Now, already, it is above 125 rupees for one unit of the US dollar. In the black market, it is above 130 rupees.
If the Nepal Rastra Bank will try to set the real value of the Nepali currency on the basis of the country’s monetary performance, surely, it will go down to the surface, or say, above two rupees against one rupy of the Indian currency.
This is the symptom that our economy is not performing well. Perhaps, the finance minister will not understand this monetary affair!
Diplomatic blunder
After a diplomatic blunder, the government has decided to correspond letters with the foreign countries through the Foreign Ministry only. This is a good decision on handling foreign affairs.
Still, there is a practice of meeting foreign dignitaries and diplomats stationed in Kathmandu by our leaders alone, which they prefer to call “one-on-one” meetings. Such a practice is not appropriate. There is a foreign affairs guideline that the presence of the foreign ministry officials during such meetings of our leaders with the foreign dignitaries is necessary. The government should take a decision not to meet the foreign dignitaries in absence of the foreign ministry officials and the foreign ministry officials should keep a record of the dialogue of such meetings with the foreign dignitaries. Otherwise, there is the possibility of an accident in foreign policy affairs.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Everyone’s attention has gone to Prem Ale’s criminal act only. Taking advantage of the government-run industrial businesses, due to the fact that the concerned minister and Ministry have exploited almost all the government undertakings including NAC, the performance level and financial structure of the institutions have deteriorated.

The similarity between the Bermuda Triangle, known as the monstrous triangle, and the Singha Durbar is that no matter how large a ship disappears mysteriously as it approaches the Bermuda Triangle, the nationality, economic poverty, and sincerity of the leader will be ended along with entering the Singha Durbar.

Can the Prime Minister escape by saying “I will not sign it” or make a clear public commitment to “remove Nepal from the list” after the American reply that Nepal will be included in the list of SPP-affiliated countries on the website after two requests from Nepal?
