
Kathmandu, 8 May: Legendary climber Kamirita Sherpa has successfully climbed Mount Everest for the 26th time. He set the record by climbing the world’s highest peak for the first time this year. A team of 11 Nepali Sherpas, including Kamirita, set foot on Mt. Everest at 6:55 pm on Saturday, according to Migma Sherpa, chairman of the Seven Summit Treks.
The team that reached the summit has paved the way for the ascent. From today, the climbers at the base camp will head for the summit. This year, 316 climbers have obtained permission to climb Mt. Everest.
