BABBLES

Already, the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been heavily politicized. The chain of command has already been destroyed. The Home Ministry, particularly, the home minister is taking a keen interest in the promotion and postings of the officials in these two institutions. Again, the Home Ministry has attempted to curtail further autonomy of the two forces by transferring the decision making authority belonging to the chiefs in the two organisations under the Home Ministry. It means the politicization process of the security organs is on. It means the political leaderships are intended to further destroy autonomous organs of the government!
Garbage problem: Supreme leaders are responsible
Kathmandu Valley is the dream city for the Nepalis, although, it is an ugly city. The Kathmanduites are suffering from different problems including polluted air, scarcity of drinking water, garbage problems, etc..
The problem of garbage is a permanent one. The present garbage problem has occurred due to the corrupt mentality of our leaders in power.
In every nook and corner, we can see a summit of garbage. The concerned metropolis corporations are unable to collect garbage as the residents around the dumping site have stopped vehicles carrying garbage demanding blacktopping of the Pashang Lhamu Highway. The road condition of the Highway is very poor as the construction companies have been occupying the project for years but not completing the project. In fact, the government is unable to put pressure on the construction contractors as they have good relations or say they have funded the leaders of the political parties. In real term, the supreme leaders of different political parties in the government are responsible for the present garbage problem.
If the Kathmanduites have the courage or if they want to resolve the present garbage problem, they should be ready to dump garbage at the main gate of the supreme leaders’ residence. Can they?
End of the US dollar empire?
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia has asked the countries trading with it to use the Russian currency. Accordingly, China has asked to use the Chinese currency. If such a trend will continue, the US dollar may not the major currency in the trade deal and may lose its dominance.
Government unable to clear construction companies’ bills
Banks are facing a liquidity crunch and it is expected to prolong further. The main reason behind the liquidity crunch is that the government has received public money through the collection of taxes but it has not been able to spend the money allotted for the projects. Many construction contractors who have completed projects on time have not been able to get payment from the concerned department as the Finance Ministry has not released funds.
It is said that the Finance Ministry has developed an ambitious budget but it lacks funds for different development projects. This is the syndrome of bankruptcy.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
During the king’s rule qualified ambassadors were appointed, while during the time of the leaders, only pocket-men are being appointed as ambassadors!
Khagendra Raj Sitaula

- Nowadays, everyone is expressing concern that Nepal is going bankrupt like Sri Lanka. There must be some financial basis for bankruptcy.
Nothing we product and export. As long as work is open in the Gulf and Malaysia, don’t worry, Nepal will not go bankrupt.
Narayan Regmi
- Sell electricity to India at Rs 4 per unit and buy at Rs 38! Thieves kill cows and feed donkeys! Why do they hesitate to provide electricity at Rs. 4 for domestic use? Idiots!
Salik Wagle
- Federalism is not brought to make the country but to manage the leaders. The more it grows, the more the country goes bankrupt.
Krishna Neupane
- We have taken foreign loans to save and nurture the federal structure. The only thing that has flourished in the name of industry is politics and what can be done without fear of becoming Sri Lanka?
𝑲𝒆𝒅𝒂𝒓
- What Nepalis never understood was that the kings were never an obstacle to Nepal’s development. By misleading the people and misleading the monarchy under the guise of the foreign powers, the political leaders have deceived us and we are now suffering the present consequences.
The king has not left the country and it is not too late to restore the institution of monarchy! Wake up Nepalis!
Sangeet Chhetri, Chitwane
- In the present politics of Nepal, there is no secure place for Pushpakamal, Arju, Madhav, Renu and Baburam to win the election. But they must be elected unless the present system exists. Therefore, an electoral alliance has become necessary for them. Moreover, black-out and manipulating votes are also essential for ensuring their victory.
Anar Singh Karki
- Who owns 400 million rupees sent from the USA? Sure, it should be owned by the corrupt leader of the corrupt party. At a time when the American government has asked to return the money, the Finance Minister’s involvement has been seen!
Sanu Babu Silwal
- Why and who has burdened the country with a debt of trillions of rupees within five years!
What kind of progress has been made by doubling the debt? This is something to ask.
The current finance minister is incompetent, but Oli’s previous government and the party cannot be overlooked.
Keshav Prasad Bhattarai
- Be careful before an extreme economic crisis arises, as seen in some countries. Cut public spending. Reject all political appointments that come with a change of government. We don’t need provinces. Let’s give all the rights to the local level. Increase domestic production!
Bhimarjun Acharya
- Let’s abandon republicanism. The rule of law should be introduced by adopting zero tolerance toward corruption!
