Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale had decided to scrap the agreement to operate the Dharamshala.
Nepal bandh against MCC
At a time when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and the entire Nepali Congress applied their strength and tactics to pass the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a group of communist parties Wednesday imposed Nepal bandh against the MCC.
The small communist parties, the RPP and even a few leaders of the ruling communist parties are against the passing of the MCC as it is. However, the new political developments have brought the ruling parties together in favour of the MCC, but others took to the street preventing vehicular movements in Kathmandu and other cities on Wednesday morning.
The teachers and students who had reached schools and colleges to attend the morning classes returned home because of the strike.
The suddenly called general strike against the MCC has affected life across the country.
The strike of Wednesday comes as proof that the country has been divided over the MCC issue.
