Deuba appoints Mahat as party’s Spokesperson

Kathmandu,6 February:  Prakash Sharan Mahat has been given the responsibility of the spokesperson of the Nepali Congress. Party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Monday appointed Mahat as the party’s spokesperson.

Chief Secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Party Office Krishna Prasad Poudel informed that party President Deuba today appointed leader Mahat as the party spokesperson. Despite being defeated as the General Secretary in the recently held 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, he was nominated by Deuba as the party’s central member. Mahat, Deuba’s trusted leader, was earlier the party’s Joint General Secretary.
