BABBLES

During the 14th national convention of the Nepali Congress, we could see a pleasing India competition among the leaders. The party didn’t dare to display Nepal’s new map which has incorporated the Kalapani-Lipulekh-Limpiyadhura territory, which belongs to Nepal.
Nepal’s old map was displayed in the background of the stage during the inaugural ceremony of the oldest party.
Not odd, NC is a pro-Indian party.
Binod Chaudhari from Madheshi Quota
Multi-ballooner entrepreneur Bindo Chaudhary contested the election for the Nepali Congress from the seat reserved for the deprived Madheshi community.
This is perhaps democratic exploitation!
Orthodox Nepali Congress
The Nepali Congress is not only an old political party of the country, but it seems, it is the party that denies the new technology and depended upon the traditional practices.
UML at least held its election through an electronic voting machine, in contrast, NC had collected polythene water tanks to use them as the ballot box.
The NC leaders didn’t trust the electronic voting machine. Funny to know!
Trees everywhere!
Along with the Nepali Congress’ national convention, the people from dry and cold Kathmandu Valley have been able to see trees everywhere but they are on the posters and pamphlets only.
Every day, the Kathmandu Valley air is deteriorating. The air quality index is at an alarming level. Mahabir Pun of the National Invention Center had once suggested planting at least two trees at home which would help to improve the Valley’s environment. The idea is appreciable. If the Nepali Congress, having a tree as its election symbol would ask its cadres to plant trees at everybody’s home, at least, the party could be visible to all!
Prachanda in share market
Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal’s negative comment on the share market has created a massive landslide on the market.
Recently, Prachanda was identified as the problem creator for the country, which seems true! Nepal’s monitory market is facing challenging days. The foreign currency reserve has been declined and the government is compelled to restrict imports of different items.
The share market is considered as the pillar of the industrial base. If it is destroyed, surely, it will impact the present industrialization process. In Nepal, in recent days, IPO (initial public offering) has become an attraction for the general public, whereas, it has become a big source to collect dispersed money in the market for the public limited companies. When the Nepal Infrastructural Bank issued the IPO, the public response was very encouraging. Also, public attraction on hydropower companies is very much encouraging. The government job should be proper monitoring of such public limited companies and decimating the true information to the public. Instead, Prachanda, being a partner of the government, has tried to destroy the share market, which will have a direct impact on the low-class investors, in the meantime, it will benefit those rich people. Prachanda seems to broker on behalf of the rich class people!
Kamal Thapa’s political journey
A columnist in the Drishti vernacular weekly has analysed the political future of Kamal Thapa, outgoing chairman of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party.
The columnist has forecasted that Thapa would join the UML party.
Viewing the present acts of Thapa, it seems, the analyst is true. After all, he is the next generation of Surya Bahadur Thapa!
