
Kathmandu, 12 November: Nepal Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, has inked Special Prorate Agreement on a bilateral basis with different reputed international airlines with the plan of expanding areas of services being provided by the Nepal Airlines Corporation.
After the bilateral agreements, it will become easy to provide service to the travellers from each other airlines.
After the recent agreement, the Airlines will provide services to those air passengers travelling to the European countries, Australia, South Korea, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
The agreement is based on reducing the transit time of the passengers.
The Airlines will receive additional income and also boost its international image from such agreements.
The Airlines has inked a bilateral agreement with Thai Airways for the Kathmandu-Bangkok-Seoul and Kathmandu-Bangkok-Sydney destinations. It has inked an agreement with All Nippon Airlines for the Kathmandu-Bangkok-Tokyo sector, whereas, signed an agreement with the Kuwait Airlines for Kathmandu-Doha-Kuwait and Kathmandu-Dubai-Kuwait sector; signed an agreement with Emirates Airlines for Kathmandu-Dubai-Zurich, Kathmandu-Dubai-London, Kathmandu-Dubai-Frankfurt, Kathmandu-Dubai-Paris and Kathmandu-Dubai-Baharain sectors.
Also, the Airlines is seeking partner airlines flying different cities in the US.
The new management headed by Airlines’ executive chairman Ubraj Adhikari is working on the revival of the Airlines’ image as instructed by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Aale.
