Kathmandu, 31 October: Nabil Bank Ltd and Pokhara University have reached an understanding of sustainable banking for industrial skill development and financial reach.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Anil Keshari Shah, CEO, Nabil Bank and Dr Jaaya Thapa, Dean, Social Science Faculty of the University.
The prime goal of the understanding is to provide loans by the bank to the students under the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development (BED) Programme.
CEO Shah said that the agreement has added a new dimension to relations between the Bank and the University.
He hoped that the programme will help the students for developing industrial skills and create employment, which will help for social transformation.
Vice-chancellor of the University Dr Premnarayan Aryal, Registrar Dr Dipak Bahadur Bhandari and Dean Thapa appreciated the new idea introduced by the Bank.
