Kathmandu, 30 October: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that the only national flag carrier of Nepal, the Nepal Airlines Corporation, should be taken to the heights.
In a discussion with government and private sector operators organized at the Ministry yesterday, Minister Ale urged the Nepal Airlines Corporation, the only official national flag carrier of Nepal, to unite above all levels, streams and regions.
Minister Ale said, “I want the government undertaking to fly in the skies like the private sector. Please let us all fly our national flag carrier together”.
The private sector operators had pledged to remain positive for the operation of the national flag carrier in the public sector despite the fact that the air service companies in Nepal has been facing problems due to the recent global corona epidemic.
The private sector airlines operators also complained that there is a security threat to the airports in most of the hilly districts of Nepal. They urged Minister Ale to immediately tighten security in the area as there is a possibility of severe damage to the aircraft when someone usually hits a stone and when the aircraft is parked at night for some reason.
