Former King graces tea reception hosted by Himani Trust

Kathmandu, 22 October: Former King Gyanendra graced a tea reception this evening hosted by the Himani Trust in honour of those citizens who have made remarkable contributions in the field of art, sports and literature and exchanging greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Tihar and Chhat festivals.

A selected group of senior journalists were also invited on the occasion.

Former King Gyanendra mingled with the invitees and offered photo-opportunity to them. 

Those invitees, who got the opportunity to talk with the King, had complaints about the present political anomalies and chaos. They had asked the former to think about saving the nation.

Former Crown Princess Himani Shah had extended the Tihar and Chhat greetings to all the invitees.

Noted singers, film actors, literary figures, sportsmen, members of the former Royal Family were present on the occasion. 

The Trust had also displayed activities such as social service and relief works carried out by it in the recent past.
