Kathmandu, 13 October: The nation is observing the Mahastami festival, the eighth day of the Dasain festival, today by worshipping Goddess Mahalaxmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati.
Devotees sacrifice goats, cocks and those who don’t sacrifice animals will offer coconut and other nine verities of vegetables.
Devotees visit and offer pooja to different shrines of Goddess Kali today.
All arms, engines and vehicles are being worshipped on the occasion.
Mahalaxmi is the Goddes of wealth, Mahakali is the Goddes of strength and Mahasarashwoti is the Goddess of wisdom.
