CPN-UML boycotts all party meeting, Deuba ready for consensus

Kathmandu, 14 September: Though the speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota called an all-party meeting on Monday to remove the stalemate in the federal parliament, the CPN-UML, the main opposition boycotted it.

The leaders who participated in the meeting requested the Speaker to convene an all-party meeting after holding discussions with the main opposition. the leaders of the parties represented in the parliament suggested the speaker to take the initiative to convene a meeting with the UML once again. Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba during the meeting said that the ruling coalition was ready for consensus with the CPN-UML. The CPN (UML) has been obstructing the proceedings of the House since September 8.
