‘Darchula incident report will be made public’

Kathmandu, 26 August: Minister for Home Affairs Bal Krishna Khand has said that the committee formed by the Home Ministry to carry out investigation into the Darchula incident would submit its report soon and would be made public in due course of time.

Jay Singh Dhami, 33, of Byas Rural Municipality-2 in Darchula district, has gone missing in Mahakali river after Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB)  dismantled a metal cable that he was using to cross the river on July 30.

At a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee today, Khand shared that the probe committee has been seriously carrying out the investigation into the incident. He further said that the preparation of the report was delayed as some members of the committee were out of Kathmandu for some special work.
