Five writs registered at SC demanding annulment of ordinance to amend Political Parties Act

Kathmandu, 19 August: As many as five writ petitions have been registered at the the Supreme Court demanding immediate annulment of ordinance to amend the Political Parties Act.

The writs presented before the apex court have demanded to carry out a hearing in Constitutional Bench. Advocates Shrikant Baral, Anup Aryal, Pravesh KC, Sakuntala Bhusal and others moved the apex court with writ petitions against the ordinance. Hearing on these petitions will be held by next Friday, according to the Supreme Court Spokesperson Baburam Dahal.
