Kathmandu, 17 August: The CPN (UML) has written to the Election Commission (EC) and to the Federal Parliament Secretariat to expel 14 members of the House of Representatives including Madhav Kumar Nepal.
A letter has been sent to the EC stating that 14 members of the party have been dismissed for not acting as per the party’s policy and directives. Similar letter from the CPN-UML has been registered at the Parliament Secretariat.
Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Mukunda Neupane, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Kalyani Khadka, Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary, Niradevi Jairu, Pushpa Kumari Karna, Sarala Yadav, Kalila Khatun, Birodh Khatiwada, Krishnalal Maharjan, Bhavani Khapung and Metmani Chaudhary have been expelled, among others.
