Kathmandu, 9 August: Nepal recorded a total of 2,609 new cases of Covid-19 and 22 fatalities in the last 24 hours taking the country’s coronavirus caseload reached 717,486, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Moreover, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll has jumped to 10,115 while the total coronavirus recoveries has dropped to 671,083 with 1,784 discharges today. The country’s active Covid-19 case count currently is 36,288. The Kathmandu Valley recorded as many as 624 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 165 and 70 respectively.
