Kathmandu, 3 August: The members of House of Representatives have demanded the government to form a ‘parliamentary probe committee’ to carry out investigation into the Darchula incident.
The CPN-UMLlawmakers protested the Darchula incident standing at their seats soon after the beginning of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives. The CPN (UML) demanded that a formal protest should be registered before India regarding the incident, action should be taken against the accused Indian SSB, and arrangement be made for providing compensation to the family of the victim.
According to reprots, Jay Singh Dhami, a local of Darchula district went missing in Mahakali river after falling from a metal cable that was reportedly dismantled by on July 30.
