Kathmandu, 3 August: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has said that the government has formed a probe panel to carry out investigation on the Darchula incident and make public its fact and reality.
In the Darchula incident, Indian Seema Surakshya Bal reportedly dismantled metal cable when Jay Singh Dhami of Darchula was using it to cross the Mahakali river. Dhami has gone missing since falling into the river.
The probe committee has been asked to submit its report within 10 days. Saying that the Darchula incident was serious, sad, and sensitive, he noted, “Other persons, who were along with Jay Singh, are being enquired and security personnel from India and Nepal have been carrying out search for Jay Singh.” The Home Minister opined that the government would take the opinion, information and views expressed regarding Darchula incident seriously and would make public its opinion once the fact of the incident comes out.
