Kathmandu, 1 August: Various political parties including Nepali Congress has demanded fair probe into the Darchula incident in which Jay Singh Dhami 35 , fail of the metal cable while crossing the Mahakali river on Friday. The cable was reportedly dismantled by the Indian SSB personnel. Four left parties and several other student organizations have condemned cruel act of SSB and urged the government to immediately initiate dialogue with India to punish the culprit and compensate Dhami’s family.
Five students union on Saturday submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba demanding immediate action, including summoning the Indian ambassador to discuss the matter.
