Kathmandu, 1 August: The government has stated that concerned authorities were already directed to confirm the reality of Darchula incident in which a Nepali youth Jaya Singh Dhami was killed after falling into swollen Mahakali River on Friday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that its serious attention was drawn regarding the news disseminated in the media about the death of Dhami after falling into the river when the Indian SSB force’s personnel dismantled the metal cable while crossing the river.
Meanwhile, the District Administration Office(DAO), Darchula has urged the Indian side to furnish information on the incident that Jay Singh Dhami went missing in the Mahakali River by falling the metal cable, and to initiate immediate action.
The DAO issuing a press statement,shared that the it had written a letter to Indian side, asking for details of the facts regarding the incident. It has stated that a joint team of the Armed Police Force, District Police Office, and officials of National Investigation Office were mobilized to investigate the incident.
