Kathmandu, 27 July: The Election Commission (EC)has granted legitimacy to the Upendra Yadav-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSPN), ending the month-long intra-party feud.
The EC granted the authenticity to the Yadav faction following a headcount of executive committee members. A total of 34 out of 51 executive committee members had signed in favor of Yadav. Similarly, 16 members had signed in favor of MahantaThakur while Resham Chaudhary remained neutral. The EC directed the Mahanta Thakur led-group to register a new party
