Kathmandu, 24 July: The Gautam Buddha International Airport is at the final stage of its construction. The technical works of the Airport are also at the final stage of completion and it is waiting for conducting the test flight.
Presently, construction works of the external sector have been completed and test works of the security equipment installed at the Airport are underway, said Prabesh Adhikari, project chief of the Airport.
“We are waiting for the calibration flight,” he said. Calibration is the technology testing equipment installed for exchanging information between the ground and the aircraft.
After the operation of the Gautam Buddha International Airport, there will be two international airports in the country.
