Kathmandu, 22 July: The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumers has acted against over 1,000 firms and companies for violating the business code of conduct. During the fiscal year 2020-21, the Department found 1,035 business firms and companies indulging in inappropriate trade activities.
A case has been filed against 19 people and three vehicles were taken under control. In fine, the Department has collected revenue worth Rs 23.98 million, according to the Department. Similarly, adulterated foodstuff worth Rs 37.38 million were destroyed during the period.
