Attorney General Ramesh Badal has resigned from the post. Badal submitted his resignation to President Bidya Devi Bhandari through Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli before the appointment of the new Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Badal resigned after the Supreme Court ordered President Bidya Devi Bhandari to appoint Sher Bahadur Deuba as the new Prime Minister.
He was appointed AG in February after Oli was not satisfied with the performance of Agni Kharel during the hearing of the House dissolution. However, Badal also failed to make Oli win the case of the second House dissolution.
