Kathmandu, 13 July: The new variant of Delta has been confirmed in two nasal and throat swab samples collected in Chitwan district. The new Delta variant were confirmed by the National Public Health Laboratory after testing five nasal and throat swab samples sent by Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.
Issuing a press statement, the hospital has cautioned that the new Delta variant is very contagious and more dangerous than Alfa variant of Covid-19. It has urged one and all to adopt all health safety measures and protocols against the deadly infection.
