Kathmandu, 12 July: The constitutional bench in the Supreme Court has already completed the hearing process on the writ petition on the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the next bench has been set for today.
Considering the importance of the case, the Court may give a verdict today.
There is the tradition of the court giving a verdict through a consensus. In case the judges are divided, the verdict will be given through a majority judges’ decision, i.e. three judges’ decisions will decide the fate of the verdict.
The constitutional bench of chief justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, justices Dipakkumar Karki, Mira Khadka, Ishwor Khatiwada and Aanandamohan Bhattarai will give the verdict on the case.
A total of 146 MPs in the dissolved parliament had filed a writ petition demanding a court order for the appointment of NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba to the post of the PM along with reinstatement of the House.
