Kathmandu, 10 July: The 10-member taskforce formed by the ruling party CPN (UML) to resolve the disputed issues in the party has neared consensus. The taskforce prepared the draft for the consensus on those contentious issues, which will be made public on Saturday after considering some corrections in the draft, according to party spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. The taskforce’s meeting on Friday went intensely and cordially, said Gyawali, opting not to divulge into further details the meeting’s agendas and its conclusion.
The CPN (UML) Chair Khadga Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had agreed to form the taskforce to find out ways and means to hammer out the differences between the establishment group and the disgruntled faction within the party.
