Kathmandu, 8 July: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a show cause notice in the name of the government seeking its written response over the Kaligandaki diversion multi-purpose project. The order comes in response to a writ petition filed against the project.
A single bench of Justice Tej Bahadur KC handed down the order, asking the government to submit its response in writing in 15 days. Likewise, the court has also summoned both sides for a discussion on July 19.
Meanwhile, the SC has demanded a written response from the government on a case involving caste-based discrimination after a landlord denied room in rent.
