Kathmandu, 8 July: The meeting between CPN-UML Chair Khadga Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal ended without yielding any result but second-rung leaders of both faction claim that it concluded on a positive note.
Though the meeting focused on resolving the internal dispute in the party, the two leaders failed to reach a consensus. Earlier they were briefed about the progress made by the task force formed to resolve the dispute through a dialogue. The two leaders also had a one-on-one meeting. Serious deliberations were held on keeping the CPN-UML intact, according to reports.
Iswar Pokharel, Subas Chandra Nembang, Bishnu Prasad Poudel from Oli’s camp and and Bhim Rawal, Surendra Pandey from Nepal side were also present at the meeting today.
