Kathmandu, 8 July: The number of Covid -19 infection continues to rise, as the lockdown down has been eased in most parts of the country including the capital.
On Wednesday, 2,979 new cases of were recorded against 2,634 on Tuesday, in a 24-hour hour reference period. according to Ministry of Health and Population. With new positive cases, the Covid casload has reached 650,162 in the country so far. The number of daily fatalities has also increased, with 28 deaths on Wednesday, whereas 15 infected patients had died on Tuesday. Furthermore, 1,333 people recovered on the same day in compared to 1,565 on Tuesday. So far, 614,327 people have recovered while 9,291 people succumbed to the deadly virus.
