Kathmandu, 8 July: Three associations of the employees in the Nepal Airlines Corporation have launched joint agitation against the decision of the board of directors for disposal of the Corporation at a very cheap price.
The employees, organizing a press conference on 7 July, informed that the agitation will continue unless the management takes back the decision of privatization of the Corporation.
The employees have demanded the resignation of the managing director Dim Prakash Poudel for creating loss to the Corporation.
The employees have blamed the management for lathi-charge and manhandling to them by inviting police personnel even when launching peaceful agitation.
The airline, which was running in profit is facing loss due to political intervention and bad management.
Of late, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and his company are planning to hand over the Corporation to Yeti Holdings at a very cheap price.
