Kathmandu, 6 July: A total of 2,622 new cases of Covid-19 and 23 deaths were reported in the country on Monday. With the latest update, the Covid-19 caseload reached 646,367 while the death toll jumped to 9,248, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Ministry stated that the Kathmandu Valley witnessed 562 new cases including 378 in Kathmandu district, 124 in Lalitpur and 60 in Bhaktapur. Altogether 2,211 patients recovered in the same time frame taking the total recovery number to 611,429. As of Monday afternoon, there are 25,690 active cases across the country.
