Kathmandu, 6 July: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM)has announced that embossed number plates will be made mandatory for all vehicles starting July 16.
While new vehicles imported from July 16 will be issued only embossed number plates , existing vehicles will be required to install the new number plates before applying for renewal of their registrations.
For an embossed number plate one has to pay Rs 2,500 for two wheelers, Rs 2,900 for three-wheelers, Rs 3,200 for light four-wheelesr including car, jeep, van and tractor, Rs 3,600 for heavy vehicles, according to the DoTM.
