Kathmandu, 5 July: As many as 1,143 foreign nationals have arrived Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport in the month of June. The foreign nationals from 111 countries entered Nepal through chartered and rescue flights amid the second wave of Covid-19 when the country suspended international flights, according to the Department of Immigration.
The government rescued 9,559 Nepalis who were stranded in various parts of the globe due to the corona virus pandemic in June. Altogether 3,606 foreign nationals and 9,651 Nepalis exited the country in the same month. The country witnessed 22,450 foreign nationals from 144 countries, the highest number of foreign nationals in April.
