Kathmandu, 3 July: A couple are reported have been killed when a landslide buried their house in Siranchowk Rural Municipality-7, Upper Gohorey of Gorkha district.
Police confirmed that the landslide occurred above the house this morning left 80-year-old Raman Pandey and his 70-year-old wife Nanda Kumari Pandey dead. The landslide buried Pandey’s house rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake. Though locals tried to rescue the Pandey couple, they could only recover their bodies after four hours effort.
Meanwhile, two persons have been killed while three others sustained serious injuries when two trucks were buried in a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in Benighat Rorang rural municipality along the Prithivi highway, according to Central Police News Section.
