Kathmandu, 2 July: The Chair of the ruling CPN-UML Khadga Oli has directed party’s 23 former lawmakers close to Madhav Kumar Nepal-Jhalnath Khanal faction to withdraw their signatures within two days they had signed in the writ petition filed by Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba at the Supreme Court.
During Central Committee (CC)meeting this afternoon Oli instructed them to immediately with the signatures which was later endorsed by the CC itself. Oli also the briefed the CC that Madhav Nepal denied talking to him and attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chairman Bam Dev Gautam objected to the decision of CC setting deadline for the withdrawal of signature. He requested Oli to treat the dissident faction with due respect. He also pledged to remain with Oli.
