Kathmandu, 1 July: The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has provided financial assistance of Rs 43.4 million to Nepal in its fight against Covid-19.
Pakistani Ambassador Syed Haider Shah on Tuesday handed over a check for this amount to Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Dr Khagaraj Baral, the Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu stated. “The financial assistance is the part of Covid-19 Emergency Fund for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member countries pledged by the Government of Pakistan,” reads a press release issued by the Embassy.
