Kathmandu, 1 July: As the second wave of pandemic rages across the country, Nepal recorded a total of 2,760 new cases of corona-virus infection and 33 deaths in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the total death toll has now reached 9,145 while the infection caseload stands at 640,662.
As of Thursday afternoon, 4,017 persons have recovered. The total number of active cases has fallen to 31,368.According to the Ministry, 316 persons in Kathmandu, 74 in Lalitpur, and 29 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive, taking the Kathmandu Valley’s fresh corona-virus cases 419 .
Meanwhile, the Ministry has requested one and all to take safety measures and precautions, stating that the risk of infection is not over yet.
