Kathmandu, 18 May: The Supreme Court (SC), in response to writ petitions demanding the S C issue an interim order to instruct Prime Minister Khadga Oli to retake the oath of office, has ordered Oli to submit a written explanation within 15 days.
A single bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana sought a written response from the defendants including Oli within 15 days conducting a hearing on the case filed by senior advocate Chandrakanta Gyawali and advocates Lokendra Oli, Nawaraj Adhikari, Santosh Bhandari and Raj Kumar Suwal.
Oli, during his swearing-in on Friday, had refused to pronounce a word saying “it’s not necessary”, inviting a serious controversy.
