Kathmandu, 18 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 5,411 with 196 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Tuesday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 8,203 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 472,354.
Kathmandu district recorded 2,049 infection cases, Lalitpur 365 and Bhaktapur district recorded 221 cases according to the MoHP. Today 6,891 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 352,454. As of today, there are 114,529 active cases of infection across the country.
