Kathmandu, 18 May: As Nepal is experiencing a coronavirus surge with record numbers of new infections and deaths, the government of Spain is sending medical supplies to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya said Monday that a plane will take ventilators and other medical supplies to Nepal to treat patients with Covid-19, according to international media. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the Spanish aircraft ferrying medical equipment will land in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Spanish plane will pick up and take home some 40 Spanish mountaineers, aid workers and others who have been affected by the travel bans imposed amid high coronavirus infection rates in Nepal.
