Kathmandu, 18 May: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has stated that coming weeks would be challenging in view of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic that has spread across the country . It has warned of dire consequences for defying prohibitory orders as 39% of the population ignored it.
Issuing a statement the MoHP has urged all to be more cautious and adopt health safety protocols strictly. It has urged all not to organize and participate in any kind of public gathering in the name of religious, cultural, and political activities. “Public mobility has not come under control as it is found to be only 59 per cent. It should be completely prohibited as it is only the effective method to control the spread,” reads the statement.
The MoHP has alerted that the infection rate is high in Morang, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok, Rupandehi, Morang, Kailali, Kakawanpur, Dhanusha, Sunsari, Parsa, Bardiya, Banke and Palpa districts.
