Kathmandu, 16 May: Over 750 journalists have been infected with Covid-19 and 13 succumbed to the death so far, according to the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).
The FNJ has appealed to all journalists to acknowledge the intensity of the ongoing crisis and its probable health risks and urged the journalists to focus on the personal health safety as well.
Meanwhile, the FNJ has expressed sorrow over the demise of Shanti Ram Karki, Chairperson of FNJ Channel Nepal Pratishtan Unit. The 34-year-old journalist who had tested positive for the Coronavirus on May 2 died on Saturday morning at Manmohan memorial hospital in Swyambhu, Kathmandu.
